| From the landing stage at the rear
of The Cunning Man at Burghfield Bridge, Reading we can provide
a
range of cruises of various duration to different destinations. We
also operate cruises from Reading Town centre, departing from either
Chestnut Walk or adjacent to Queens Road Car Park. On certain weekends
we will operate from
Aldermaston. A Burghfield to Aldermaston single cruise will be available
on the first Thursday of each month April to September and a return
cruise
Aldermaston to Burghfield will be available on the following Monday.
These
cruises will be available for private charter or public trips on
which
groups can be booked. |
| We are licensed to carry a maximum
of 44 passengers but for extra comfort on longer cruises or where
catering is provided we recommend a lower limit. We can provide various
seating arrangements. For up to 22 people we can provide individual
seating at tables. With the removal of the tables we can accommodate
progressively larger parties. For small business parties there are
flexible options which could include boardroom or theatre style arrangements.

| We have a bar on board serving alcoholic,
soft and hot drinks. We can provide catering to your order or you
may make your own catering arrangements should you wish. A table suitable
for buffets is provided for parties of up to 36 passengers. |
| PA equipment, radio, tape and CD systems
are installed for your use and 240v power points are available for
other technical equipment. |
| Our range of cruises and the fees for
the hire of the boat for each cruise are shown below. For small parties
we can offer cruises based on a ‘per head’ basis subject
to a minimum payment of 15 fares. Timings shown are average cruising
times and actual times may vary according to prevailing conditions.
The opportunity for a short break is possible at the turning points
on cruises to Garston, Sulhamstead or Tyle Mill. For small ‘team-building’
parties the opportunity to assist in the operation of locks and bridges
can be provided. |
