We offer a fully flexible hire service for your choice of start and finish dates and length of hire period. The hire period starts at 10.00 am on the first day and finishes at 5.00 pm on the final day.

Period Hire customers start their cruise at our base on Burghfield Island, Burghfield Bridge, Reading. Burghfield Island is a multi-user site with closed secure access. We are the most easterly base on the Kennet & Avon Canal providing hirers with the widest cruising

opportunities. The full length of the Kennet & Avon Canal, potentially from Reading to Bath and Bristol is available. Access is also readily available to the River Thames for cruising downstream to Henley, Marlow, Maidenhead, Windsor and beyond or upstream to Abingdon, Oxford for the Oxford Canal or Lechlade.
