hire is available on our 51ft 4-berth narrowboat Rosina
Emma. |
 We
offer a fully flexible hire service for your choice of start and
finish
dates and length of hire period. The hire period starts at 8.30 am
on the first day and finishes at 5.00 pm on the final day. To assist
hirers with some distance to travel to join their cruise we offer
the option of coming on board on the evening before at no extra
charge.
This will normally be at 7.30 pm or other later time by arrangement.
Period Hire customers start their cruise at our base on Burghfield
Island, Burghfield Bridge, Reading. Burghfield Island is a multi-user
site with closed secure access. We are the most easterly base on
the Kennet & Avon Canal providing hirers with the widest cruising
opportunities. The full length of the Kennet & Avon Canal, potentially
from Reading to Bath and Bristol is available. Access is also readily
available to the River Thames for cruising downstream to Henley,
Marlow, Maidenhead, Windsor and beyond or upstream to Abingdon,
Oxford for
the Oxford Canal or Lechlade. |
